Fish Catching Travel
It is a done deal, at least until it is reviewed in 5 years due to the “Sunset” provision, the bag limit on speckled trout will be reduced to a 5 fish daily from an area near Sargent TX to the Mexican border. Additionally the flounder regs were changed to extend the reduced bag limit into the first 2 weeks of December. The new limits will take effect September 1, 2014.

I for one am happy, and I think that before it is over most fisherman will approve of the changes. The commission is convinced that we will have more and bigger trout, and I am all for that. So now that it is a done deal it is time to let the regulations work. If we do not see the results that were expected the sunset provision will guarantee a review of the results. So off we go, but no matter what it sure will easier to “limit”.
