Thanksgiving Thoughts.

Fish Catching Travel

11/22/11.

I hope this finds you and your family healthy and happy.  Times are hard for many people in America today, but we all have something we are thankful for and here are mine.

Everyday I am so lucky to have my wife.  She loves me, she understands my uncontrollable urge to fish, and she lets me scratch it.  And my daughter, she has grown into a caring, intelligent wife and mother, who is a great columnist for the The Daily Oklahoman newspaper.  And I am so lucky that my family is all healthy, and with 4 brothers and sisters and parents in their 80’s, our family is so fortunate.

And in spite of the absolute dereliction of duty by our government, I am still thankful to be an American.  It may not be perfect right now, but I can still speak my mind, travel freely, and go fishing whenever, and wherever, I want.  And our troops are the best and the brightest in the world.  They are willing to lay their life on the line for me, and that is one of the greatest gifts anyone could give.

So when we are sitting back all fat and sassy watching football, remember what you are thankful for and be sure to tell those you love.  And god bless our troops serving around the world, we support you.

Good Luck and Tight Lines!
